Changing the settings options in the Chrome Browser can really make a difference!
To get to the Settings menu, click on the Wrench in the top right hand corner of the browser - Once here you can change all kinds of settings that will help you make Chrome work the way you want! Here is where you can manage extensions, go incognito and do some really cool things.
After clicking on the Wrench and you go to settings here are some of the things that you can set:
Set up Sync - This is one of the most powerful options of Chrome- Once you sign into Chrome you can sync Bookmarks, extensions, apps to all of the computers that you use Chrome. So if you have a desktop and you change or add something when you load it on your laptop it will be there. So under settings under Sign in - Click on Advanced sync settings... to get this all set up
Chuck Norris Tip - If you are on a new tab look down and the bottom and click on other devices - Any device that you have chrome set up and syncing - you can see what tabs are open and then go to those tabs - even from mobile device
On Start Up - Under this section are the settings to determine what pages load up when you open Chrome. To quick set this up, just open all of the pages that you want to be there on start up, go to settings and then click Set Page under On Start up - at that point you can choose all of the pages that you have up right then to be your " Home Page"
Home Button - Chrome does not show the Home button by Default - To have it show up look under appearance and click Show Home Button
Users (Chuck Norris Tip) Do you have a personal and school account - If so not a problem. Under Users you can sign up under different accounts. Once you do, you will see a little icon show up in the Top Left of the Chrome Window. Click and you can switch back an forth between user accounts and all of the Apps, extensions and settings as well. Great if you use different extensions or apps for different classes or different from school to home.
Google Cloud Print - It would be nice if we lived in a paperless world, but alas we do not. When you need to print, Google Clound Print can print to any printer that you have - Using Google Cloud Print, you can make your home and work printers available to you and anyone you choose, from the applications you use every day. Google Cloud Print works on your phone, tablet, Chromebook, PC, and any other web-connected device you want to print from. To Set up Google Cloud Print Go to the bottom of setting- Click Advanced and then almost at the bottom click on Enable Google Cloud Print
Extensions - From the settings menu you can manage extensions. Look on left sidebar and you will see extensions. Click there and you can enable/disable extensions and also manage extension settings.
History - Click on History in the sidebar to manage your History and clear browsing data
